A third seismic station of the GREAT network started operating on Thursday, August 30th. It is located in Veragua Rain Forest park (www.veraguarainforest.com). The best part is that our colleagues at RSN managed to establish a continuous transmission link, illustrated by an image below. The data flow into the common system at RSN and will contribute to the task of routine earthquake monitoring, adding a much needed observing site on the eastern side of the Talamanca Mountains. Of course, trucks and tourists and toucans will be monitored as well...

I am sure service visits to the station will be a high point of the future work on the project.

Bravo, Luis Fernando!
